Originally from London, Ruth has been in Australia for 16 years, and is a citizen of this beautiful country.
Ruth became a nurse to give back – after her nanna, granddad and dad all died in quick succession, she decided she wanted to help others, just as her family had been helped and supported during those hard times.
She had always been a fitness enthusiast, even in school, Ruth was in all the teams – netball, swimming, rounders etc. and when she left school she joined the new fad craze of group aerobics that took place in her local church hall. Then gyms started opening up and she joined one, started doing weights as well as classes.
When her family emigrated, it was easy to carry on her passion for fitness before and after her nursing shifts, but she decided to complete her certificate 3 and 4 in fitness with her dream to be a PT already solidified in her mind.
When she was made redundant, it was the ideal time to live her dream, so she started her business. she is still nursing too, but these days, Ruth is more a trainer and telehealth nurse (one of the first telehealth nurses in Australia).
